While there still are deranged cultists out there who blindly support any action by our Dear Leader, the shine is off the Rose for a growing number of Americans who are getting tired of having their collective noses rubbed in Barry’s incompetence.
This can been seen in a recent Quinnipiac University survey that listed Barack Hussein Obama as the worst President since WWII. While this is good news for Jimmy Carter, it is not good news for America, or its citizens. Just to dig the knife of reality a little deeper into the moonbats, Ronald Reagan as listed as the best president since WWII. The poll also showed that move voters feel that GOP nominee Mitt Romney would have been a better choice in 2012. A fact that was clear to anyone paying attention during the 2012 election cycle.
Pollster John Zogby sums it up well, ““In short, we see a president in full salvage mode. He is not only racing for his legacy but for his relevancy.”
Gallup reported this week that Americans now have more confidence in the police and the military than they do in the three branches of the U.S. government — which is not exactly a healthy place to be in a constitutional republic.
We can no more expect Mr. Holder to investigate this White House than we could have expected John Mitchell to investigate the Nixon White House.
Here’s — we know six things, Chris. We know first the targeting occurred.
Therefore, second, we know that this is worse than article two of the Nixon impeachment count, which said Nixon endeavored to use the IRS. The IRS back then resisted.
Third, we know that this became public in an act of deceit when Lois Lerner planted a question with a friend in an audience to try and get this out on her own terms.
Fourth, we know that she has taken the Fifth Amendment because she has a right to do this when she has a reasonable suspicion that there might be criminal activity involved.
Fifth, we know that from the timeline you put up today, that there has been 13 months of stonewalling on this.
And sixth, now we know that not only her hard drive, but six other people intimately involved in this suddenly crashed in an amazing miraculous coincidence. Religions have been founded on less, ten days after the investigation started.
That’s why we need a special prosecutor.
Of course, to the Obama cultists, this is a so called “phony scandal.” They have their collective panties in a knot over really serious political scandals, like traffic jams in New Jersey. I wonder how many of these all wee-weed up far left extremists have ever been on the Jersey Turnpike in rush hour?
Joe nails it. If the IRS targeting of specific political groups happened under a Republican administration, it would be on the front page of the NY Times for weeks. As one of his guests puts it, “Under a Republican, IRS Scandal Would be a National Obsession.”
You may have missed this story from last month. It didn’t get much MSM/DNC coverage. Not very surprising given the story.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane shut down an investigation started by her predecessor. The investigation was an old classic, probably inspired by the recent movie American Hustle. Undercover operatives offered state politicians cash bribes. The bribes were made to both Republicans and democrats, but it was only democrats who took the money.
It doesn’t take a deep understanding of Occam’s Razor to figure out that Kane did to protect the corrupt members of her party who were caught by this sting operation. It’s a partisan cover up of democrat fraud and corruption, pure and simple.
Seriously, it takes a serious partisan avoidance of reality to take that much offense at someone saying to better your lot in life through self improvement.
California State Senator Leland Yee, who has been charged with wire fraud and conspiring to import firearms, may be facing new charges from the federal government. Although U.S. Attorney Susan Badger said that the government “is anxious to start discovery,” the government stated that there will be additional charges in a superseding indictment.
Along with many other democrats, Lee is currently charged with multiple counts of corruption. Leland Yee was also charged with illegal gun running. The anti-civil rights activist wanted to disarm the law abiding, while supplying fully automatic weapons and shoulder fired missiles, purchased from Islamic terrorists, to his friends in the Tong.
I heard some leftist trying to compare Hobby Lobby to Mozilla firing their CEO based on a political donation eight years ago.
There is a major difference that the leftist decided to ignore.
In the case of Hobby Lobby, the owners of the company are making very public statement of their company policies based on their personal religious views.
In the case of Mozilla, the CEO was hounded out of office not for his actions as CEO. He had made no public statement as CEO, or otherwise, about his stand on marriage laws. He was attacked by activists outside the company for a private political donation made eight years ago. A donation that should not have been available to the public. It was known, because of an illegal leak of private IRS data. A leak done to harm those who the leaker, a federal employee, disagreed with politically.
If the federal employee who leaked the information is every identified (and don’t hold your breath waiting for anyone in our Dear Leader‘s administration to pursue that), that person should be subject to criminal prosecution and civil prosecution from individuals harmed by their illegal actions. The former CEO of Mozilla for example.
If you depended on the MSM for your news, you probably never heard of Leland Yee. OK, he was on Piers Morgan’s show a lot, but given the ratings his recently cancelled CNN show had, I’ll stand by my statement. Leland Yee is a California State Senator, and like the majority of that body, a democrat. He was a very prominent and influential member of the California democrat party. He was running for the position of Secretary of State, and was considered a ‘shoe in’ for the position. He was also one of the state senate’s most vocal proponents for massive restrictions of the Constitutional rights of Californians.
Then he was arrested, along with numerous other democrat politicians, on charges of fraud and corruption. Leland Yee had an additional charge brought against him, gun running. This prominent California democrat, who was very vocal in his stance that law abiding citizens had no rights to legally own firearms, was trying to smuggle fully automatic firearms and shoulder fired missiles from Islamic terrorists, which he was then going to give to his contacts in the Tong (Chinese organized crime).
Mr. Yee wanted the law abiding citizens to be disarmed, while his friends the Tong had the firepower to destroy armored police vehicles. Mr. Yee’s actions were keeping with the established traditions of the democrat party. No wonder he was so popular with the heavily democrat California electorate.
Popular Mechanics has a story entitled:Who’s Packing What: The Weapons in the Leland Yee Scandal. Here is bit of information that shouldn’t be a spoiler. Yee didn’t want law abiding citizens to own any of the weapons listed in that article.
Plenty of democrats in the news lately. Of course, the only way you can tell they are democrats is because the so called “reporters” failed to mention their party affiliation in stories detailing how they have been arrested for various charges of corruption and fraud.
First up, we have the Mayor of Charlotte, NC. The democrat mayor and former City Councilman Cannon allegedly accepted about $50,000 in cash, airline tickets, and use of a luxury apartment from undercover FBI agents posing as real estate developers, reports WSOC-TV. That includes a $20,000 payment made right in the mayor’s office last month, say the feds.”
Update: From the Business Insider, we find that “Democratic Charlotte, N.C. Mayor Patrick Cannon allegedly promised he would use a meeting with President Barack Obama to press for streetcar project funding that was a major concern for someone who gave him multiple bribes, according to federal court documents.” Which leads us to this question. What did Obama know and when did he know it?
Recently, our Dear Leader claimed that there was “Not even a smidgeon of corruption” at the IRS run by his political appointees.
Well, as we have learned, everything that BHO says has an expiration date. Sometimes that date is even before the words come out of his mouth. Remember that the left leaning Washington Post, among others, selected one of Barry’s Catch Phrases as the Lie of the Year.
So we should take his claim of no corruption with several large barges worth of salt.
Now let’s review what the Inspector General for the IRS had to say on the matter, “Our audit did not find evidence that the IRS used the ‘progressives’ identifier as selection criteria for potential political cases between May 2010 and May 2012.” There are a few more gems in his report to Congress:
In total, 30 percent of the organizations we identified with the words ‘progress’ or ‘progressive’ in their names were processed as potential political cases. In comparison, our audit found that 100 percent of the tax-exempt applications with ‘Tea Party,’ ‘Patriots,’ or ‘9/12’ in their names were processed as potential political cases during the timeframe of our audit.”
…
“While we have multiple sources of information corroborating the use of Tea Party and other related criteria we described in our report, including employee interviews, emails and other documents, we found no indication in any of these other materials that ‘progressives’ was a term used to refer cases for scrutiny for political campaign intervention.”
Of the 296 organizations flagged with “political” keywords, only six were “progressive” groups. That is 2% of the 296 organizations selected by the IRS.
Clearly, there is more than just “smidgeon of corruption” at the IRS under the reign of our Dear Leader. This Culture of Corruption probably runs much farther and deeper in the Obama administration than just the IRS.
