Follow the Money

Lots of money to follow.

Let’s start with a lot of money people wish they could follow.

$1.2 Billion missing from MF Global.  You remember MF Global, run by Obama crony Jon Corzine, former democrat Senator and former Governor of New Jersey.  The guy who spent New Jersey dry and then ran up a huge debt to keep government spending at economy wreaking levels.  He left government service (i.e. he lost an election that his Republican opponent won in a landslide), and proceeded to continue his ways at MF Global.  The result was summed up nicely by Ann Barnhardt.

A firm, led by a crony of the Obama regime, stole all of the non-margined cash held by customers of his firm. Let’s not sugar-coat this or make this crime seem “complex” and “abstract” by drowning ourselves in six-dollar words and uber-technical jargon. Jon Corzine STOLE the customer cash at MF Global.

While we discussing friends of our Dear Leader, here a double header of money that deserves to be followed.

First, Solyndra, the company run by a big democrat donor, has it’s tax payer funded price tag bumped another $14.3 Million.

Second, Obama’s Half-Billion-Dollar Crony Drug Deal.  Yup, a big democrat donor gets a no-bid “sweetheart” government handout.  More of the tax payers funding our Dear Leader‘s campaign payoffs.

Moving the so-called “Occupy” criminal trespass groups, it is very clear that Orwell got it right, and some pigs are more equal than others.  No tents for the “leaders”, but $700 a night hotels.  Paid for by the rank and file who sleep in tents.  Yup, Lenin was right as well, when he called them “useful idiots.”

Let’s move to the world of bought and paid for “science”, and its poster child, James Hansen.

As Mr. Hinderaker points out, “…James Hansen, one of the two or three most prominent global warming alarmists on whose work the IPCC reports rest, “forgot” to report $1.6 million in outside income, as required by his government contracts. ”

Finally, let’s not forget the source of the ever so useful phrase, “Follow the Money.”

Follow the Money! Algore edition

Yes, another installment in our Follow the Money series!

This time it’s Algore at the end of the money trail!  Investors Business Daily reports:

No one has made more money from climate change hype than Gore. According to the U.K.’s Guardian newspaper, just one of the “green” companies in which Gore has invested has received over half a billion dollars in subsidies from the Energy Department.

Yup, the same Algore who made piles and piles of money selling so called  “carbon credits” by telling people that the oceans were going to rise within the next few years and flood the coasts, then bought a giant, energy consuming mansion on the southern California coast line.

Round Up Post

File under “Follow the Money”, the Empress Michelle’s so-called “policy initiatives” are bought and paid for by big money lobbies.

HealthCare.gov Users Warn of Security Risk, Breach of Privacy  Golly, Obamacare is a poor designed fiasco of a web site.  No surprise there.

There’s an awful lot of middle-class sticker shock going on with these insurance cancellations…  If you have been listening to the NPR coverage, where they are setting new records for extreme spinning for our Dear Leader, those premiums are only increasing “slightly” and those who complain about it are “whiners.” If you want to see some of those price hikes, check out MyCancellation.com.

The leftists over at Politico admit that the so-called “mainstream media” ignored Conservatives’ warnings about Obamacare for years, and that those warnings were 100% accurate.  Poor Richard’s News sums it up nicely: ” The mainstream media willingly ignores the truth in favor of spoon feeding the American people talking points directly from the White House.”

No surprise here, the NY Times denies that Obama lied repeatedly to the American people.

Wisconsin Fleebaggers heavily funded by Public Employee Union payments

Color me not surprised.  Here is the, ahem, money quote.

The 14 Wisconsin Democratic senators who fled to Illinois share more than just political sympathy with the public employees and unions targeted by Gov. Scott Walker’s budget-repair bill.

The Senate Democrats count on those in the public sector as a key funding source for their campaigns.

In fact, nearly one out of every five dollars raised by those Democratic senators in the past two election cycles came from public employees, such as teachers and firefighters, and their unions, a Journal Sentinel analysis of campaign records shows. . . .

Lying Liars and ClimateGate

First up, AGW cultist prophet in chief, Al Gore.

Michelle Malkin points out that the ManBearPig is flat out lying about the ClimateGate email scandal.

He talked with Slate magazine’s John Dickerson and repeatedly pooh-poohed the scandalous ClimateGate e-mails as “more than 10 years old,” “over 10-year-old e-mails,” and “an e-mail exchange more than 10 years ago.”

Er, the e-mails are from as recently as November 2009 — and as Anthony Watts documents and reminds folks on Planet Earth, “[a]nd there are dozens to hundreds more within the last month, the last year, and the last 10 years.”

Then there are those “1,700 scientists” who signed a “defending the “professional integrity” of global warming research.” Well, it seems that this was about as honest as the ClimateGate so called “research.”

By way of Ace, comes this news report on the matter:

Britain’s Met Office has embarked on an urgent exercise to bolster the reputation of climate-change science after the furor over leaked e-mails, referred to as “Climate-gate.”

More than 1,700 scientists have agreed to sign a statement defending the “professional integrity” of global warming research. They were responding to a round-robin request from the Met Office, which has spent four days collecting signatures. The initiative is a sign of how worried it is that e-mails stolen from the University of East Anglia are fueling skepticism about man-made global warming at a critical moment in talks on carbon emissions.

One scientist said that he felt under pressure to sign the circular or risk losing work. The Met Office admitted that many of the signatories did not work on climate change.

One scientist told The Times of London he felt pressure to sign. “The Met Office is a major employer of scientists and has long had a policy of only appointing and working with those who subscribe to their views on man-made global warming,” he said.

So, is it about the science or the funding? As the man who wrote the screenplay said, “Follow the Money”

BBC asks: What happened to global warming?

Paul Hudson, the BBC News “Climate correspondent” asks an inconvenient question:

What happened to global warming?

For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.

And our climate models did not forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise.

Well, to be honest, there were climate models that didn’t predict the rise of global temperature observed in the 1990s continuing, but there wasn’t a scam to run on the gullible using those models.

One thing that anthropogenic global warming Luddites don’t like to admit is that natural climate change is real and it has happened throughout the planet’s history, and will continue to do so.  Dudes, the planet will abide.

If you are still skeptical over the actual science involved, try this…FOLLOW THE MONEY!

Update: The movie the anthropogenic global warming Luddites at Stanford University don’t want you to see.

An advisor to Al Gore, who makes a lot of money selling so-called “Carbon Credits”, was warning the world about a man made Ice Age that was about to wreak global destruction back in the 1970s.

Priorities

It’s clear to see where our Dear Leader‘s priorities are.  He has spoken with the General he personally place in charge of Afghanistan twice.  He has had over 30 meetings to try to get the 2016 Olympics held the crime ridden city of Chicago.

Why this mixed up set of priorities?  Simple, as the man who wrote the screenplay said, “Follow the Money!”

While the odds are that the city of Chicago is going to loose money hosting the Olympics, there will be people who get very, very rich off all the money that will be flowing through that city for that event.

Those people will be the political cronies of the Chicago democrat political machine.  The people who supported our Dear Leader going back to his days as a “community organizer” and they now have their hands out.  Paying off those political debts, with federal tax payer money, is clearly our Dear Leader‘s priority.

The left’s attack on basic Civil Rights

The right to Legal Council and the Right to Self-Defense are basic Civil Rights. To deny any American citizen those basic Civil Rights is an attack on the Constitution and the founding principle of the United States of America.

Color me not surprised that far left extremists are doing just that. James Taranto takes a look at the latest attack on retiring Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Gov. Palin has been subject to numerous “ethics charges”, which require her and the state of Alaska to expend funds to defend against. Fifteen of those charges have been dismissed. As in charges brought against her had absolutely no merit. The charges of “ethics violations” have been a clear and simple case of harassment by her political enemies.

Like many politicians before her, including Bill and Hillary Clinton, Gov. Palin set up a legal defense fund. The purpose of the legal defense fund was to obtain legal council in order to defend herself from these frivolous and harassing “ethics violations” charges. In order words, Gov. Palin was exercising her basic Civil Rights as an American Citizen.

Mr. Taranto notes that the latest “ethics violations” charge is that is Gov. Palin’s exercising her basic Civil Rights.

That’s right. The “personal gain” that is being objected to, is defending herself against the previous “ethical violations” that have been dismissed as having no merit.

This is the ugly truth of the far left. If they target you, an American Citizen, as an enemy, you have no Civil Rights as far as they are concerned. You have no right to self-defense, you have no right to a fair and impartial trial by jury, you are guilty of “thought crime” and need to be destroyed.

Where are these frivolous and harassing attacks against Gov. Palin coming from? Well, in the words of the man who wrote the screenplay, “Follow the Money.”

Actual Science Alert!

A warning to AGW cultists, actual science is used in video below to dispute Al Gore’s fear mongering.

Remember kids, Al Gore founded a company that sells “Carbon Credits.” Those are modern plenary indulgence payments to the AGW Cult the gullible make. Even the New York Times calls the practice a scam. If you are wondering why someone like Al Gore, former Senator and former Vice-President of the United States of America, is participating in an obvious scam based on junk science, I suggest you follow the advice of the man who wrote the screen play.

“Follow the money.”

Update: Al Gore Lies to Congress. What else did he lie about?

We’re well past the limit for “enemy action.”

Let’s revue the Obama IRS department’s attack on the First Amendment.

Gateway Pundit has a good list of the organizations illegally targeted by the IRS

Not only has Lois “I plead the Fifth” Lerner’s computer “crashed”, taking all email out with it.  The computers of six other IRS employees involved in this criminal activity by the Obama administration have “crashed”, taking all email out with them.

Investor’s Business Daily notes the following about those six:

One of the seven people, including Lois Lerner who lost emails from the period of Tea Party targeting by the IRS, served as chief of staff to former IRS head Steven Miller. She also made 35 visits to the White House.

It seems six more IRS officials have lost critical emails from that period, a seeming statistical impossibility that shouts out a conspiracy to obstruct justice, and more violations of the Federal Records Act, which requires paper copies of these emails to be printed and stored just in case of computer problems.
One of those officials who received Lerner emails and also lost them was Nikole Flax, chief of staff to former IRS Commissioner Steven Miller. Miller, who was fired in the wake of the targeting scandal, visited the White House more than most Cabinet members.
Flax, as the Daily Caller reports, “made 31 visits to the White House between July 12, 2010, and May 8, 2013, according to White House visitor logs.”

The visits started just as the IRS’ targeting of the Tea Party began; the last occurred two days before the scandal broke in May 2013. On the day of her last visit, according to the Daily Caller, Flax got an email from Lerner seeking advice on a plan to coordinate with the Justice Department to criminally prosecute conservative activists.

Responding to this email, obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request filed by Judicial Watch, Flax gave the green light to Lerner’s plan to coordinate criminal prosecutions with DOJ, a suggestion that had been made by Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse.

We also know that Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings’ staff was in contact with Lerner about the conservative group True the Vote.

That’s right kids.  Members of congress, all democrats, were in contact with IRS, requesting criminal prosecution of conservative groups, for exercising their First Amendment rights.

If this is what escaped the information shutdown by Obama administration, what was in those “lost” emails that the IRS doesn’t want the American people to see, must be pretty damning.

According the Moscow rules, we (as in the American people) are well past the count for “enemy action” in the IRS’ destruction of evidence.
