I think I need a bigger gun.

The following two weapons are example of what you may find on a planet in the Wilds with a average technical base, or access to the remains of one.

This first weapon is a 15mm, four shot revolver. The original model was made by Wilder (1) and gunsmith, Tempus Steele. The original brass were cut down from heavy machine-gun rounds. Steele's `Draken Pistol' (2) proved popular among other Wilders. He build several others for friends and then his daughter Arcadia began making them full time. `Draken Pistols' (or as they are also known, "Steele's Wristbreakers" or "Camp Pistols") were mostly custom made, with engraving and the owner's chop imprinted on it.

A small firearms manufacturer has recently started producing "Steele Draken" (TM) pistols under license from Tempus Steele. They are still engraved with images of Drakens and leather clad Wilders. Rounds for it are now available as factory loads (reloading dies are available). Explosive rounds are also now available.

At the urging of his daughter Jaquileen, Tempus Steele designed a rifle to fit his Draken Pistol round. She was an avid hunter and found it simpler to use the same round for her rifle as her pistol. The result was a solidly build lever action rifle with a scope mount. This weapon has recently been made available to the general public by the same company that produces the `Steele Draken'.

1. A `Wilder': one who roams the wild areas. Usually trappers and hunters.
2. Draken: A particularly nasty native beast. It resembles a cross between a small bear and large badger, combining the worst traits of both animals. It has 6 limbs, each ending in a paw full of sharp claws. Don't let these distract you from the muzzle full of sharp teeth. Draken are known to attack human camps in search of food (both what the humans eat and the humans). Draken are just one of the reasons that Wilders took to carrying large firearms with them at all times.
3. The FF&S price is Cr511. The factory production models go for C700. Increase is do to cost of engraving, royality payments to Tempus Steele and a profit margin.
