While most pulp heroes were men, there some women having adventures.
On the subject in women in Pulps...I know this is a stretch...The female lead (Jennie), in the Rocketeer, was obviously drawn with Betty Page in mind.
Many of these men and women of the pulps were part of Phillip Jose Farmer's Wold-Newton family.
