I am currently studying Shaolin Kempo. For more on that, and other Kempo styles, here is the Kempo FAQ. I did not orginally write this. This started as the last version I saw posted to the Rec.martial-arts news group. I have added hyperlinks to other Kempo sources, cleaned up the spelling, and added a great deal of new information. It does not cover all styles of Kempo (or as some folks call it Kenpo), but I'm working on it.
Kempo links are on their own Kempo Page.
If you plan on reading the Rec.martial-arts news group, you may want to read the FAQ documents first.
Before I took up Kempo, I tried my hand at Judo, Tae Kwon Do, and fencing. I've also dabbled in archery and learned proper firearm safety rules.
For those of you you noticed (and those who didn't too), I've switched the yinyang graphics at the top of the page. I went from 'black-white' to 'white-black'. The latter indicates a 'softfist' style, rather than a hardfist. As Kenpos go, Shaolin Kempo is more on the softfist side, much more so once you get past Sandan.
